The Rookie: Feds may struggle to deliver a substantial crossover event with The Rookie, but its latest venture succeeds in other ways. Primarily, it quietly delivers an on-screen reunion between Britt Robertson and Thomas Dekker, who appeared together on one of The CW's best one-season shows -- The Secret Circle. In the process, Dekker's character creates an antagonistic string tying the procedural dramas together, granting The Rookie: Feds a number of opportunities to narratively subvert expectations while it continues to find its footing.
