Even over a decade after its finale aired, there is one aspect of Avatar: The Last Airbender that still draws much discussion from fans, which was Aang taking away Ozai's firbending. Some have argued this was to avoid showing death on screen while others see it as necessary for the series end. There are arguments to be made on both sides, but the side in favor of keeping Ozai alive has the stronger leg to stand on.
