Bangladesh's demand for clothing in the Russian market is five billion dollars

Exhibition of Bangladesh's Textile and Jute Products will be held in Moscow from May 21-23. The garments and jute sector entrepreneurs of the country are participating in the fair. BGMEA sources said the fair will be held at the Radisson Snivyanakaya Hotel and Business Center in Moscow. The Bangladeshi Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) and Bangladesh Embassy of Moscow are organizing the fair.
BGMEA vice-president Mohammad Nasir said, "Russia is a potential big market for the readymade garment sector. But due to various obstacles including the customs restriction on the market, our participation in the market is very less. However, due to the exhibition of clothing and clothing sector, our expectations will be overcome. At the same time, participating entrepreneurs will also be able to adapt themselves to the Russian market.
It is known that BGMEA, the owner of entrepreneurs of the ready-made garment sector, will participate in the fair at the BJM and Jute Diversification Promotion Center (JDPC), entrepreneur of jute sector. Saber Hossain Chowdhury, Mannujan Sufian and Secretary of the Ministry of the Ministry of Textiles and Jute, Fazur Rahman will participate in the fair.
Textile and jute ministries and BGME sources said Bangladesh exported goods worth $ 46.46 million in 2016-17 fiscal year. For this reason, Bangladesh is seeing a great potential in this market. They say, Russia has good business contacts with their allied countries Uzbekistan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. People of these countries freely travel to Russia.
So, CIS allied countries will be able to know about Bangladeshi products at the fair in Russia. According to the sources, after the Russians, Japan's Tokyo, Jute and leather goods will be held in Tokyo.
